Players can acquire $SHARDS Tokens through the following methods:
Random Drops: Get tokens as random drops in the game by performing specific actions while equipped with one or more unbroken collectible items that have the temporary โAttraction Forceโ effect active. Actions such as defeating enemies, gathering resources and looting treasure chests.
Crypto Wallet Import: Players can also import $SHARDS Tokens into the game through their cryptocurrency wallets.
$SHARDS Tokens serve multiple purposes within the WorldShards ecosystem:
Improving Collectible Item Stats: The โLuckโ parameter is not automatically leveled up, when a collectible itemโs level is increased and needs to be improved separately
Upgrading Rarity: Upgrading the rarity of collectible items to enhance their parameters and performance.
Processing Rifts: Rifts are a type of resource that allow you to upgrade the rarity of items within the game, and need to be processed in order to be utilized.
Purchasing Rare Items: Acquiring various rare items available within the game using $SHARDS Tokens.
Re-roll Item Stats: Stats found on items can be re-rolled and will require tokens for such an action.
Trading: As a cryptocurrency, $SHARDS Tokens can be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges after being exported from the game.
$SHARDS Tokens are not tradable within the WorldShards game or its marketplace. However, players have the option to withdraw their $SHARDS Tokens from OpenLoot to their personal cryptocurrency wallets. Once the tokens are transferred to their wallets, players can engage in standard cryptocurrency operations, including trading, transferring, and executing various transactions according to their preferences.
The Luck Level parameter found on Collectible Equipment is directly related to the progression of tiers and levels in the game. If a player enters an adventure using items with a higher Luck Level than that of the adventureโs tier & level, their token drop rate will be decreased to match that of the adventureโs tier & level. Otherwise, they will achieve the maximum token drop rate according to their itemโs โLuckโ value. So to get the most out of an L2 T1 adventure, you will need an item with a Luck Level of 5. Here are a few more examples:
Example 1: If a player goes to an island that is L2 T1 with an item that has a Luck Level of 5, their items will contribute their โLuckโ value at full efficiency. Therefore, their token drop chance will reflect their item's โLuckโ value.
Example 2: If a player goes to an island that is L1 T2 with an item that has a Luck Level of 5, their items will contribute their โLuckโ value at a level corresponding to the adventureโs tier & level- so in this case, 2. efficiency. Therefore, their token drop chance will be scaled down to that of an item with Luck Level 2.
Example 3: If a player goes to an island that is L1 T2 with an item that has a Luck Level of 1, their items will contribute their โLuckโ value at full efficiency. Therefore, their token drop chance will reflect their item's โLuckโ value. However, they will be in a position where they could be earning more token drops if they would increase their itemโs Luck Level to 5.
The chance of receiving a token drop depends on the Luck Level and the 'Luck' parameter of their items (specifically the items that had their charges consumed when entering the adventure).
