๐ŸคInteractions with Collectible Items

Repairing Collectible Items

A collectible item differs from a common item in its durability mechanics. When a collectible item's durability reaches 0, it doesn't break but remains in the player's inventory. However, it cannot be used until it is repaired. Repairing a collectible item is done at the appropriate workbench for gold. An Artifact is not required for repair. The repair cost is calculated based on the amount of durability being restored. Repair is limited by the level and tier of the workbench. If an item has a higher level or tier than the workbench, it cannot be repaired until the workbench reaches the corresponding level and tier. The repair process is instantaneous.

Increasing Level/Tier of Collectible Items

The player can upgrade a collectible item's level or tier using the corresponding workbench. An Artifact is not required for increasing the itemโ€™s level or tier. To upgrade, the player needs to select the collectible item and spend additional resources as a requirement to reach the next level or tier. The upgrade is instantaneous. The level and tier of the workbench must be equal to or higher than the item's level and tier in order for the upgrade to become available. When upgraded, the item's parameters change according to the new level and tier.

IMPORTANT! The "Luck" parameter is not affected by this sort of upgrade.

Increasing Rarity of Collectible Items

The player can upgrade the rarity of a collectible item using the corresponding workbench. An installed Artifact with a rarity higher than common is required. The rarity of the item can be increased to the rarity level of the installed Artifact.

To increase rarity, the player needs to:

  • Select the collectible item in the workbench

  • Choose two collectible items of the same type and rarity, which can be of different levels and tiers, to use in the upgrade (one will be consumed)

  • Spend a certain amount of $SHARDS tokens and Ancient Rifts (the amount will depend on the desired rarity)

  • Wait for the process to finish (the length will depend on the desired rarity)

After increasing the rarity of a collectible item:

  • The "Luck" parameter will be increased

  • Maximum durability will be increased

  • Additional stats or aspects will be added (the amount will depend on the new rarity)

Increasing a collectible itemโ€™s rarity uses the same slot as for crafting collectible items, charging them or processing Ancient Rifts.

Speed Up the Rarity Increase process

Players can complete the rarity increase process early by paying a fee in Gems. The 'Speed Up' button becomes available as soon as the rarity increase process starts and can be activated at any time.

The cost of speeding up depends on the remaining time, with less time remaining leading to lower speed up fees.

Canceling the Rarity Increase process

At any point during the rarity increase process, players can cancel the upgrade, reclaiming all spent resources and collectible items via in-game mail.

Improving the "Luck" parameter

The player can increase the "Luck" parameter of a collectible item using the corresponding workbench. An installed Artifact of any rarity is required. To increase the "Luck" parameter, the player needs to:

  • Select the collectible item that they want to upgrade in the workbench.

  • Spend the corresponding amount of tokens (the amount will depend on the level of the "Luck" parameter).

The upgrade is instantaneous. The level of the "Luck" parameter on the item cannot exceed the level and tier of the collectible item. In a similar way, the level of the "Luck" parameter cannot exceed the level of the workbench where the upgrade takes place.

Increasing the "Luck" parameter for an item, will increase the drop chance of tokens when using that item on adventures.

Charging Collectible Items

In order to activate the 'Luck' parameter found on Collectible Equipment, the item must first be charged. The player can charge a Collectible Item by using the corresponding workbench. An installed Artifact of any rarity is required.

A collectible item can only be charged at a crafting workbench if its level and tier is equal to or lower than that of the workbench. To charge higher-level or higher-tier items, the crafting workbench needs to be upgraded accordingly. Only a single action relating to Collectible Items can be undertaken at any given time, so note that you cannot craft other items whilst you are charging something.

Charging takes time but can be sped up by using Gems and $SHARDS (during the WorldShards' Trials Event - $SHARDS Fragments will be used instead of $SHARDS).

To charge Collectible Equipment the player needs to:

  1. Navigate to the โ€˜Collectionโ€™ tab in the workbench

  2. Select the item that you want to charge

  3. Pick one of the charging options

  4. Spend the corresponding amount of Gems

  5. Wait for the required time or pay an additional amount of Gems & $SHARDS to speed up the charging process

Players can then equip the item & select the option to enable the 'Attraction Force' effect before starting their next adventure. They will be able to select which items to consume charges from. The 'Attraction Force' effect will be active once the required number of charges is deducted from the item. Equipping items that arenโ€™t activated (charges were not consumed when entering the adventure) or that donโ€™t have enough charges to enter an adventure, will lead to their โ€˜Luckโ€™ parameter not contributing to the drop chance of tokens.

Using charged items in adventures

After using a charged Collectible Item to activate the 'Attraction Force' effect, players will have a temporary buff during their next adventure that determines the occurrence of token drops. The effect is calculated as:

  • Attraction Force = Armor(Luck ร— Luck Multiplier) + Weapon(Luck ร— Luck Multiplier) + Axe(Luck ร— Luck Multiplier) + Pickaxe(Luck ร— Luck Multiplier)

While on an adventure, if the player unequips an activated item and moves it to their inventory, the โ€˜Attraction Forceโ€™ effect remains active, but its strength is reduced based on the item's Luck and Luck Multiplier contributions. If you remove the only equipped item contributing to the โ€˜Attraction Forceโ€™, the effect will disappear entirely, as no item will be providing a Luck-based contribution. Once you equip an activated item again, the โ€˜Attraction Forceโ€™ will return, in accordance with the Luck and Luck Multiplier of the recently equipped item.

Artifact Rarity and Charging Efficiency

The effectiveness of charging is represented by the Luck Multiplier. If the artifact's rarity is equal to or higher than the collectible itemโ€™s, the Luck Multiplier will reach its maximum. However, if the artifact's rarity is lower, the multiplier decreases, reducing the efficiency of the charge.

Speed Up the Charging Process

Players can complete the charging process early by paying a fee in Gems and $SHARDS ($SHARDS Fragments will be only used in phase 1). The 'Speed Up' button becomes available as soon as the charging process starts and can be activated at any time.

The cost of speeding up depends on the remaining time, with less time remaining leading to lower speed up fees.

Canceling the Charging Process

At any point during the charging process players will have the choice to cancel. The cost of charging will be refunded and the collectible item will return to you via in-game mail.
